RECAP: LindsayLou Trunk Show
We had a great time at our first trunk show, featuring works by Lindsay Hack (LindsayLou)!
Lindsay created a beautiful display of metal wonders throughout our shop for the evening, and she left us tons of great goodies for the holiday shopping season. If you didn't get to stop by that night, you can still snag up some great pieces at The Makery throughout the month of December.

Friday, Nov 20th
Join us for our first trunk show!
Silver, copper and brass jewelry by Lindsay Hack.
Linsday's line, LindsayLou, is a Makery staple. For the evening of November 20th, we will have great NEW DESIGNS and FREE GIFTS with every LindsayLou purchase!
Lindsay Hack, a Louisville native, began making jewelry after a long love affair with all things sparkly and shiny. She started her career with beaded jewelry, but became frustrated with the available supplies at local craft stores. After graduating college with a degree in journalism, she enrolled in a local silversmithing class and began making metal jewelry and findings of her own. Several years later, she's still hammering away, bringing lovely new designs to the Derby City!

WHOLLY CATS!
If you've stepped foot into The Makery, you may have been greeted one
of our furry friends, Kitty or Stella. In honor of these two
friendly fur-balls, The Makery is hosting an all cat art show by
Ashley Urjil.
Urjil paints cats eating ice cream, surfing the web, and performing
cabaret style. Her quirky, bright, and often humorous works will be
on display at The Makery through December 1st.
Originally from Hickory, North Carolina, Ashley relocated to
Louisville, Kentucky after graduating from UNC-Ashville with a degree
in Sociology.
When she's not painting critters, she works as an Activity Director at
a senior living community, models for the WHY Louisville web-store,
and attends the University of Louisville pursuing a Master's Degree in
Social Work.
The Makery is located at 1572 Bardstown Road, between Bonnycastle and
Alta Ave (right across the street from our friends at Dot Fox).

where have i been?!
over the weekend i attended the renegade craft fair in chicago. i was there peddling my wares (dearest inez) while tiffany manned the shop.
ive been a little absent on the blog because my life consisted of nothing but cutting, sewing, starching, and packaging all my little leaf wonders for the fair.
i did a lot of counter sewing over the past few weeks..
i was honored that dearest inez was featured in time out chicago before the fair AND on the readymade blog! woot!!
here's a little peek at one of my tables in the booth.
it was a great weekend with amazing weather and i met tons of great folks including many of the artists we carry here at the shop. hopefully ill be able to get back on track now that i can take a short break from sewing before the holiday season!!
